I’m officially on summer vacation! Yay!
Miss O and I just started the first Fancy Nancy chapter book. I love Fancy Nancy so I’m excited to check out this series!
I’m listening to the audio book version of Dad is Fat by Jim Gaffigan. I think he is hilarious, and have small children so I can relate to his parenting humor. It’s a funny, mindless “read” while I drive (by myself) or get things done around the house during nap time.
I’m also listening to Shopaholic to the Stars. I just love Sophie Kinsella. So far, this is exactly what you expect from Shopaholic.
As far as professional reading…
I’m still working on The Book Whisperer for my book study with my fabulous Primary Pals (beginning June 11) and I just started Learn Like a Pirate for the book study over at The Primary Gal. It seems clear from my book choices that I’m hoping to introduce some more student centered learning in my classroom next year. I’m excited to learn more and start working on a vision for implementing what I’m learning from these two books.
I clearly have a reading version of ADHD…my book stack is forever growing and I’m always reading at least two or three different books. Today I ordered Teach Like a Pirate since I’ll be seeing Dave Burgess present in my district this week…I might have a real problem!
