Fri-YAY! It’s been a whirlwind of a week with tons of Dr. Seuss fun! I haven’t linked up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for Five for Friday in many, many weeks…but here’s the highlights from my week!
We celebrated Leap Day with some froggy fun! These little frogs flipped across the tables and we measured how far and how high they could leap! (Click the pictures to see this measurement center in my TpT store)
Then the Dr. Seuss week fun really got underway!
Kicking off with Crazy Fox in Socks…this was one of my very favorite books when I was little! I just loved trying to read it as fast as possible!
We made these yummy “Green Eggs and Ham” treats…and learned about states of matter and how they change.
One fish, Two fish, Red fish Blue fish…Jell-o and more states of matter! This is one of my very favorite science activities each year. The kiddos think it is amazing to make their own treats, plus they are just so cute! (Click the pictures to see this lab booklet in my TpT store)
We are ready to go for the Tournament of Books! The bracket is up. The Sweet 16 has been nominated by our first graders.
I hope you had a great week! Gotta love a week that lets you wear a wild headband and polka dot leggings to school!
Have a great weekend!
