Five for Friday {It’s April}

Phew!  We’re back from Spring Break and have the end of the year in sight…and so much to do between now and then!  It was a busy week in classroom and house as we got back into our routines after the week off!  I’m excited to link up with Doodle Bugs Teaching to tell you about it!

We said so long to spring break with ice cream cones…and snow flurries – gotta love Ohio weather!

This little guy couldn’t eat that ice cream fast enough!

In other personal news, this little lady started back to tap classes.  She was beyond excited to break out the shoes again!

We started using Kahoot during our intervention block.  The kids loved mixing it up by answering on the iPads after they solved the story problems!

I sent out a Parent Survey to collect some information (and show evidence of two-way parent communication for my teacher evaluation)…and blogged about it on The Primary Punchbowl.  It gave me great results and some good information to take into the end of the school year.

Our Tournament of Books is down to the Final 4!  I can’t say I’m surprised that it’s The Day the Crayons Quit, The Day the Crayons Came Home, Piggie & Elephant and Junie B!

Stay tuned for the Champion next week!

Have a great weekend!

    Kahoot is so fun! I think it’d be great to use for a chapter review before a test. Unfortunately I don’t have a projector in my room or any technology for the kids. The parent survey is a GREAT idea! I just filled out the “professional responsibilities” section for my evaluation… next year, ha. Have a great weekend!

      My kiddos definitely had fun with Kahoot and it was a great way to keep everyone engaged! We’re lucky to have a PTO that supports adding technology to our rooms, so we’re slowly getting closer to 1:1 between a mix of iPads and Chromeooks.
      I got some great feedback from the survey – and it was so easy! I think parents liked the opportunity to share their thoughts, too!
      Thanks for stopping by! 🙂

    Those are classic books! I would have a hard time voting between them all! And this weather has been crazy! We had delays Monday and Tuesday because of snow!

      I agree – I’m over this crazy weather and ready for spring!
      We’re voting on the finals today – it’s going to be a close one!
      Thanks for stopping by! 🙂

    I love the Tournament of Books! Going to be hard to pick a winner out of that group!
